Day 1 Delhi/ Calcutta
In the morning drive to the airport and board your flight for Kolkatta (formerly Calcutta)—the second largest establishment of the British Raj in India.

Upon arrival transfer to hotel with assistance.

Later part of the day is free to explore the city on your own and overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Calcutta/ Darjeeling
Kick off the day with an early morning trip to the flower market on the riverbanks in Howrah, which will be followed by a boat-ride on the River Hooghly.

Afternoon, enjoy a city sightseeing tour, visiting the imposing Victoria Memorial, St Paul's Cathedral and the Indian Museum that houses one of the best collections of Indian art.

In the evening you will be transferred to the bustling Sealdah Station to board the Darjeeling Mail.

Overnight in the train.

Day 3 Darjeeling
This morning you will arrive at New Jalpaiguri Station, wherefrom you will be driven to Darjeeling for a stay of 3 nights. Surrounded by tea gardens and breathtaking mountain views, this beautiful hill station was a favorite summer retreat during the British Raj.

Day 4 Darjeeling
An early morning drive will take you up to the Tiger Hill (9000 ft) to see the spectacular sunrise over Mt Everest and Kanchenjunga. On your way back stop by the Ghoom Monastery.

In the afternoon visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and a local tea garden.

Day 5 Darjeeling
Today you will spend the whole day at leisure with the option of a ride on the "toy" train to Ghoom or Kurseong.

Day 6 Pelling
A scenic drive in the morning will take you to the remote hamlet of Pelling, where you will halt for a night at Norbugang Resort. Later visit the Pemayangtse Monastery.

Day 7 Gangtok
Leave for Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim and check into the Tashi Delek or hotel Norkhill - for 2 nights of stay.

Later part of the day free at leisure in Gangtok.

Day 8 Gangtok
In the morning proceed on a sightseeing trip of Gangtok town, visiting the royal monastery, Tsukla-Khang, whose interior is covered with murals and lavishly decorated altars holding images of the Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Tantric deities. Also make a trip to the Namgyalak Institute of Tibetology, the Orchid Sanctuary where many of the 454 species of orchid found in Sikkim can be seen, and the Rumtek Monastery, noted for its carved and painted woodwork.

Day 9 Kalimpong
Today morning enjoy a pleasant drive to Kalimpong and check in at the delightful Himalayan Hotel for overnight stay.

Spend the remaining part of the day visiting the orchid nurseries, churches and monasteries.

Day 10 Kalimpong Bagdogra Delhi
This morning you will be transferred to Bagdogra airport for your flight back to Delhi.
