DAY 02 : COCHIN
Today after taking breakfast you will make a Sightseeing tour
to Cochin city - ST. Francis Cathedral and Chinese Fishing nets at Fort
Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street and Dutch Palace at Mattancherry,
and the Bolghati Islands. In the evening you will be viewing Kathakali,
the most spectacular dance form in India, which originated some 500
years ago. There are over 100 different arrangements all of them based
on stories based on the 'Ramayana' and the 'Mahabharatha' the main epic
of Indian Mythology. The facial masks, paintings and costumes are a
sight to observe. Overnight will be at Hotel.
DAY 03 : COCHIN/ALLEPEY
Today after taking breakfast transfer by road to Alleppey for
the houseboat cruise, the cruise takes you through narrow canals with
bustling village life on either side, the main occupation of the people
being fishing or working in the fields. The cruise takes you through
KUTTANAD, known as the Rice Bowl of Kerala where farming is done below
sea level. Overnight stay will be in the Houseboat.
DAY 04 : ALLEPEY
Houseboat cruise, overnight stay will be in the houseboat.
DAY 05 : ALLEPEY/KUMARAKOM
After taking light breakfast checkout at Kavanattinkara (in
Kumarakom) and proceed by road to Thekkady to check-in at a resort in
Thekkady and overnight will be at the Resort.
DAY 06: KUMARAKOM/PERIYAR
Early in the morning boating and wild life viewing at Periyar
wildlife sanctuary. After taking breakfast Spice Plantation visit and
rest of the day free for shopping and optional activities. Overnight
will be at Hotel.
DAY 07 : PERIYAR/MUNNNAR
Early in the morning have your breakfast and then direct transfer
by road to Munnar, to check in by lunchtime at Munnar. Free at the resort.
DAY 08 : MUNNAR
Early in the morning depart to Rajamalai to enjoy the serene
atmosphere at the highest peak of Kerala the Anamudi and to watch the
rarely seen species of Nilgiri Thars. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Sight seeing trip and boating at Mattupetty and rest of the day free
for shopping. Overnight will be at Hotel.
DAY 09 : MUNNAR/COCHIN
Today you will make a drive towards Cochin, here You can either check
in at a hotel at Cochin, transfer to the Cochin Airport Or transfer and check
in to a resort at Kovalam or a hotel in Trivandrum or transfer to the Trivandrum
Airport, for which you will be given the best assistance.
