DAY 04 : Kovalam-Kanyakumari
Today you will make a leave for Kanyakumari on the southern tip of India,
the place of the confluence of the three seas', The Indian Ocean, Arabian
Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Here one can view the sunrise, sunset and moonrise
from the same point. The Vivekananda rock memorial built in 1970 is a blend
of all the architectural styles of India. It was built in memory of the famous
Indian Philosopher, Swami Vivekananda who is said to have meditated on the
Rock Island. Also visit the Gandhi memorial where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi,
the father of the nation are kept. The architecture of the building is such
that on 2nd October, his birthday, sunrays fall directly on the spot where
the ash is kept. En-route to Kanyakumari visit the PADMANABHAPURAM PALACE
(wooden palace) and SUCHEENDRAM TEMPLE. Overnight at Kanyakumari.
DAY 05 : KanyaKumari/Maduari
Today you will make a leave for Madhurai, the Temple City of South India.
It is also one of the oldest cities in India. . Its main attraction is the
Meenakshi Temple. This temple was designed in 1560 and built later during
the reign of Thirumalai Nayak. Its immense gopurams are crowded with stucco
figures of Gods and Goddesses and mythical animals and beings painted in vivid
colours. The thousand-pillared hall is a museum that displays temple artifacts.

DAY 06 : Madurai-Thekkady
Today in the morning you will be free for own activities and in the
afternoon you will make a leave for Thekkady. Overnight at Thekkady.
DAY 07 : PERIYAR
Today in the morning you will enjoy boating at the Periyar wild life Sanctuary,
a spice plantation visit and after an Elephant ride, spend rest of the day
for shopping and optional activities. Overnight at Thekkady.
DAY 08 : PERIYAR-MUNNAR
Early breakfast and transfer by road to Munnar (a hill station famous for
its scenic beauty, tea and coffee plantations), to check in by lunchtime at
Munnar. Free at the resort.
DAY 09 : MUNNAR
Depart to Rajamalai to enjoy the serene atmosphere at the highest peak of
Kerala the Anamudi and to watch the rarely seen species of Nilgiri Thars.
Return to hotel for breakfast. Sight seeing trip and boating at Mattupetty
and rest of the day free for shopping. Overnight at Munnar.
DAY 10: THRISSUR
Today after breakfast transfer to Thrissur.
At Trichur you have 2 options.
1. Visit the Archaeological Museum, The Guruvayur temple and the Elephant
Camp.
2.Visit to the Kerala Kalamandalam. (The Kerala Kalamandalam at Cheruthuruthy
is the seat of, renowned the world over for its Kathakali training centre.
The music and dance academy was founded by the famous poet, Vallathol
Narayana Menon. Training in Kathakali, Mohiniyattom, Thullal and other
traditional art forms are imparted here. Cultural programmes can be
arranged here). Overnight stay at Thrissur.
DAY 11 : THRISSUR-COCHIN
Today in the morning you will depart to Cochin and in the afternoon, a cruise
at Cochin backwaters to view the sunset over the Arabian Sea. In the evening
view Kathakali, the most spectacular dance form of India, which originated
some 500 years ago. There are over 100 different arrangements all of them
based on stories based on the 'Ramayana' and the 'Mahabharatha' the main epic
of Indian Mythology. The facial mask, paintings and costumes are a sight to
observe. Overnight at Cochin.
DAY 12 : COCHIN
Today you will make a Sight seeing of Cochin city - ST. Francis Cathedral
and Chinese Fishing nets at Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street and
Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, and the Bolghati Islands. Afternoon free for
shopping. Overnight at Cochin.
DAY13 : COCHIN-ALLEPPEY
Tday you will leave for the backwater town of Alleppey to board the Houseboat.
Enjoy the cruise from Alleppey to Alumkadavu (near Quilon) in a journey that
takes 2 nights and 3 days. The cruise takes you through narrow canals with
bustling village life on either side, the main occupation of the people is
fishing or farming. The cruise takes you through KUTTANAD, also known as the
Rice Bowl of Kerala where farming is done below sea level. Also an experience
is the Coir Industry where you can witness the process of coconut Husk being
converted to various products, which are later, exported to various parts

DAY 14 : IN HOUSEBOAT
